User Interfaces

My gaming videos and screenshots tend to generate a lot of stir over my WoW UIs. This article is intended to catalog my designs and to settle a few frequently asked questions.

  • "Where can I download your UI?" None of my UIs are currently available for download. This is due to a number of reasons: Firstly, I designed these UIs to fit my screen - 1680x1050. Making versions for other resolutions would take time. Secondly, it wouldn't feel right to give these UIs away for free - I've put a lot of time into them, and if I ever decide to publicly release them, they will not be free.
  • "What is this specific addon in your UI?" Scroll down the page and find a screenshot of the UI that contains your desired addon. There may a list of addons and  their respective descriptions beneath the screenshot. Your desired addon should be listed there.
  • "Where can I download addons, and how do I install them?" There are a lot of websites where you can download addons. I personally use Curse and WoWInterface. As for installing addons, simply follow this guide.
Current Warlock UI (better screenshot coming soon!)

This is my most recent and probably my best UI. It follows the same general layout as my previous works but is a lot more streamlined, partly due to the lack of any visible action bars (keybinds are for pros). This UI provides the player with a good amount of information while at the same time not significantly cluttering the screen - it's a great balance. Below, you will find a non-extensive list of the addons shown in this UI and their corresponding functions.
  • eePanels2 - displays custom artwork
  • IceHUD - the sexy glowing arcs in the middle of the screen (player/pet/target health, mana, casting, etc.)
  • X-Perl UnitFrames - player/pet/target/ToT/party frames
  • Titan Panel - shows useful information like time of day, durability, gold, coordinates, mail, etc.
  • Prat 3.0 - custom chat boxes
  • Cursor - adds effects to the default cursor (not shown in screenshot)
  • CooldownTimers3 - shows item/spell cooldowns
  • ScrollingCombatText - a more stylized version of Blizzard's own scrolling combat text (not shown in screenshot)
  • OPie - interface for infrequently used spells, items, etc., that do not have their own keybinds (not shown in screenshot)
  • Bartender4 - custom action bars (not shown in screenshot - my action bars are visible only on mouseover)
  • Bagnon - bag/bank mod (not shown in screenshot)
  • HighUI - improves graphics
  • Elkano's BuffBars - shows buffs/debuffs
  • Omen Threat Meter - graphical %threat display (not shown in screenshot)
  • Recount - damage meter and more (not shown in screenshot)
  • QuestGuru - quest tracker and extended quest log interface (not shown in screenshot)
Old Warrior UI

My first interface including custom eePanels2 artwork. Only people who love the color green can truly appreciate this.
Old Warlock UI

My second UI including custom eePanels2 artwork, this time featuring hawt brushed aluminum. Obviously this is a fairly "chunky" UI - it takes up a lot of the screen. Thus, the addon CT_Viewport was deemed a necessity in order to prevent any potential blockage of the rendered world.
Old(er) Warlock UI

My first decent-looking UI (I did make a number of UIs even before this one, but most looked pretty terrible, and they will not be displayed in this article). I don't have too many screenshots of this one, but I'll try to find a better one soon.
