World of Warcraft
One fateful summer's day back in 2006, I began a trial of the game World of Warcraft. Since then, WoW has consumed over 3,000 hours of my otherwise undamaged life. SMILIES_EEK

I had a lot of this stuff during my time as a caffeine fiend. My first character was a human warrior on the server Draenor, where a few of my RL friends were. After unhurriedly reaching level 60, I did some entry-level instances with my guild The Deranged Tacos and kicked some ass in PvP (Mortal Strike spam lolz). I was having a lot of fun with the game; so much that I regularly stayed up until 4 am on weekdays (school began at 8). I was feeling pretty fatigued so I decided to order $200 worth of caffeine products. A 700 mg dose in the morning did keep me awake, but it definitely didn't ensure clear thought (or speech, for that matter). That year was plagued with many nonsensical sentences and engrish-laden essays of mine. Sleep deprivation is a sneaky bastard.

At level 70 endgame after TBC's release I spent most of my time grinding rep, leveling professions, playing battlegrounds, and trying to find groups for those goddamn Shadowmoon Valley questlines. But yeah, I did grind lots of rep. Defender of the Timbermaw, anyone? After completing that sickening grind (1-2 rep per kill), I asked the question, "Why the HELL isn't some robot doing this laborious grinding bullshit for me?" So after giving the folks over at MMOGlider some of my precious money, I started botting with my warrior. For just a few glorious weeks, I was earning over 500g daily from gold drops alone. And then the banhammer came down. On just about everyone (Blizzard's Warden software became able to detect WoWGlider's presence in memory, so anyone running it got banned). Karma I guess. Lesson learned: Don't bot.

My warlock at level 70 with S2/S3.So with my retail account unusable, I turned to private servers and messed around with them for a few months, pissed that I lost my main character for such a worthless cause, and unwilling to dish out the money to start a new account.  It was during this time that I released my WoW Private Server tutorial, which quickly became popular on YouTube and brought a lot of traffic to DerangedTaco.com. But just like any self-respecting drug addict, I had to return for more WoWCrack. After setting up a new retail account, I made a blood elf warlock on Vashj (and soon after just had to make a guild named Pink Vashjina, which unfortunately I was forced to rename a few months later). After quickly reaching level 70 once more, I did a lot of PvP and got myself S1, then S2, and then most of S3. I had a lot of fun infiltrating Stormwind on Friday nights and owning the crap out of everything. When the whiners would come on the realm forums and complain, I would own them too. I pretty much owned everybody, in fact. When I wasn't melting faces in PvP or on the forums, I spent my time earning exalted reputations with Outland factions or making tons of money with my enchanting/JC combo. I played the game a lot... I even got max fishing and cooking skill, FFS. It is also noteworthy that around this time I transferred from Vashj to Deathwing, where my warlock still resides today.

With the release of WotLK, an army of unskilled Death Knights flooded EPL, my purples became second-rate once again, and I reluctantly brought my warlock up to level 80. I took a break from the game after hitting 80, but renewed my subscription once I was done with my junior year of high school.

Then I got my warlock semi-geared, recruited a few RL friends, and made a new alt - a blood elf rogue named Líquìfy, which is perhaps the best rogue name imaginable. Also, a new guild: LIQUIFICATION. (After all, it's only fitting.)

And that is the story thus far.
